Device mounting

To properly mount and charge your TomTom GO Classic / GO Classic Lite / GO Advanced follow the below steps:

  1. Connect the USB cable to the device.
  2. NOTE: Use only the USB cable supplied with your TomTom GO Classic / GO Classic Lite / GO Advanced. Other USB cables may not work.

  3. Connect the USB cable to the USB car charger (not included with TomTom GO Classic / GO Classic Lite / GO Advanced) and plug this into the power supply on your dashboard.
  4. Choose a decent location on your windscreen to mount your TomTom GO Classic / GO Classic Lite / GO Advanced.
  5. Tip: You can easily change the rotation of your device by releasing the mount from the TomTom GO Classic /GO Classic Lite / GO Advanced using the thumb indent. Turn the mount around and clip it back onto the device until you hear it click.

  6. Make sure that both the suction cup on the mount and your windscreen are clean and dry.
  7. Press the suction cup of the mount firmly against your windscreen.
  8. Turn the rubber grip near the base of the mount in a clockwise direction until you feel it lock.

NOTE: For the best navigation experience it is advised to keep your TomTom GO Classic / GO Classic Lite / GO Advanced charged at all times during your drive.

Make sure that your device does not obstruct your dashboard, vehicle controls, rear-view mirrors, airbags and field of vision. To maintain an optimal satellite signal, ensure that your device remains upright during use.

NOTE: To ensure that your TomTom GO Classic / GO Classic Lite / GO Advanced remains sufficiently powered throughout your drives, we advise you to (i) confirm the strength (i.e., voltage) of the power supplied by your vehicle Car Power Adapter or USB port and (ii) use the charger included with your TomTom GO Classic / GO Classic Lite / GO Advanced accessories for optimal performance.
